180 Tamil Movie Watch Online

180-tamil-2011-telugu-review-movie-film
It’s Siddharth’s comeback film in Kollywood. Popular ad-film maker Jayendra’s first venture on screen and what more it has been shot mostly in foriegn locales. The songs are already topping the charts. So expectations are high on the movie. Check out what Nottrienbathu has in store for the audience.
‘I have no regrets about the past nor do I worry about tomorrow. I believe in living my life to the fullest’. Ajay’s mantra sends forth enlightenment indeed. Ad filmmaker Jayendra embarks on his directorial venture with eminent writers Subha involved in screenwriting. Produced by Sathyam Cinemas in collaboration with Aghal Films, the film marks the comeback of Siddarth into Tamil film territory after 7 long years.

Ajay (Siddarth) takes a dip at shores of Ganges in Kasi and the very next shot we find him in search of a house for rent in Chennai. His high-spirited and good-hearted nature easily makes everyone fond of him and so does Vidhya (Nithya Menon), a photo-journalist. Saying ‘Cheers’ to every moment, Ajay keeps the magic of happiness going on, but is haunted by his past memories of a beautiful wife Renuka (Priya Anand).

Jayendra wields complete control over technical departments, especially on cinematography, costumes and set works. The strikingly spectacular backdrops and colorful costumes add more splendors to the screens. Incisively, it’s an unforeseen experience for the audiences, as Tamil cinema had rarely seen such colorful visuals throughout the film. Dialogues are yet another spotlighting element for we find most of the lines simple and short, yet gain our attention vividly. A fair illustration is the dialogues between Siddarth and little boy Mano in Kasi, where he says, ‘Naan Mano va Vaalanummnu Aasa Padurein’, which ultimately gives a brief description about his characterization.

Chocolate boy Siddarth showcases matured level of performance effortlessly.. Be the romantic portions with Priya Anand or as a panic-stricken victim, we find him best in any situations.. His rational thought during the climax is inspiring and ends the film on positive note. Priya Anand’s glamorous appeal enchants us, but her performances remains mediocre. Nithya Menon excels in living up to the expectations. The sequences of cinema hall, enacting before mirror are some of her best strokes. But again, it’s too silly to find a girl running behind a guy for no reason. However her gestures are justified later, which indeed is a timeworn concept. Mouli with his witty-liners keeps us laughing during first half.

Background score by Sharreth is literally loud and harsh as he repeatedly uses the percussion and Kerala’s traditional instrument Chenda Melam. Mild instrumentals or even silence at places would have enhanced the visuals to a certain degree. Never witnessed Kasi as beautiful and credit goes to cinematographer Balasubramaniem and so are the exotic locales of San Francisco and Chennai. Since Jayendra has been a part of ad filmmaking biz, he seems to have purposely stressed more on lighting. Almost every indoor shot has a sun ray passing in, which seems to be a little unrealistic. Title song ‘Poi Sollum Pothu’ canned by Phantom Flex Camera (usually used for stunt sequences) is a good attempt while picturing of ‘Sandhikaadha’ and ‘Nee Korinaal’ are fabulous.

Jayendra gets going with creative ideas that surely deserve appreciations, a sample being the usage of ‘Pudhu Vellai Malai’ song from Roja as the background score sparkling up the entire situation. Jayendra’s writing is filed with innovative ingredients that is going to garner lot of fans. But it would be the same unique narration that might not have takers among a huger section of the audience. Since the major twist in the tale occurs only after intermission, the proceeding does tend to make the viewers restless. At the end, one gets a feeling that the screenplay, especially in second half might be the weakest link.

Verdict: Great visuals, wonderful colors, weak screenplay.

Box Office Prediction : It is a movie that is rich, suave and stylish. There are enough emotional elements in it. But the fact is that it is too sophisticated for a common man to identify himself with the film.

Plus points
- Siddharth’s performance
- Catchy visuals
- Good music by Sharreth

Minus points
– Predictable story
- Slow second half

watch vikadakavi movie online

Vikadakavi is a 2011 tamil movie directed by G. Krishnan starring Amala Paul and Sathish in lead roles. Music score composed by Radhan. Despite Being a low budget tamil film this film performed well at tamil box office.

Story:

Many veterans in Kollywood had humble beginnings. Some of their debut movies made with minuscule budgets never made it big or faded into oblivion in the history of Kollywood. 19-year-old Amala Paul is famous as the upcoming lady in Kollywood, after her movie Mynaa became a grand hit, which earned her a role in Deiva Thirumagan opposite Vikram. Awaiting release for a year, Vikadakavi is actually Amala Paul’s Kollywood debut, but has released late.

Vikadakavi is the acronym of the names of five thick village friends: Vinod, Kavitha, Diana, Karuna and Virumandi. Born on the same day in the inauspicious Aadi month, the five-member gang is despised by the whole village for their mischief. Vinod (Satish) is thoughtful, Kavitha (Amala Paul) is wealthy, Diana (Pechi) is absent minded, Vrichika Kanth (Karuna) is a laggard and Virumandi (Irshadh) is loud mouthed. Together, they are a bunch of brats, constant irritants to the villagers.

The Vikadakavi gang members study at the local village school, and are always seen together playing pranks on unsuspecting adults. On a fateful day, Kavitha’s parents are killed in a road accident and the orphaned Kavitha is left in the care of her uncle, a nefarious man who pretends he cares for Kavitha, while his hidden intentions are on Kavitha's wealth. The Vikadakavis' bond grows stronger as they come together to support the agonised Kavitha.

The gang enters college and their prank riots continues. Through this phase, Vinod and Kavitha sense that they are romantically inclined to each other. As Vinod and Kavitha's love blossoms, the other three try their hands at romance, but in vain. Diana's absentmindedness, Karuna's sluggishness and Virumandi's crudeness puts off their partners. The trio abandon their romantic pursuits and decide to support their friends' relationship.

One day, a mysterious group of handicapped men meet Satish and share something they know about Kavitha. The information makes Satish ignore Kavitha and the gang's bitter days begin. Now, Kavitha's uncle too learns about her relationship with Satish. Realizing that Kavitha's relationship with Satish would grow stronger if he forced her to break it off, he makes some cunning moves, which ultimately make Kavitha turn against Satish. Now it is up to the trio to bring the gang back together; the rest of the movie is a moving drama of friendship and love.

G. Krishnan's Vikadakavi is a heart warming drama which celebrates childhood friendships that last a lifetime. The movie is filled with clean humour, which makes us nostalgic aut the unadulterated humour flicks of the 70s and 80s. In the movie, the Diana-Karuna- Virumandi trio ignite a laughing spree with their naivety. Remember the puny Vrichika Kanth in Kadhal? He is the one who plays Karuna, in which he aces. We would probably never have heard of any of these five actors in Vikadakavi except Amala Paul. The actress moves around as a shy girl with little screen space, but proves her talent in the few dialogues she presents. Amala's pair Satish is mediocre in his performance; his looks too seem average, which makes us hard to register him in our minds. Vikadakavi is a movie to enjoy with your family this summer, which will also remind you of the bygone Kollywood of the 70s and 80s.

Sabash Sariyana Potti is a 2011 tamil movie directed by Venu Arvind (directorial debut) starring  jayaram, sriranjani and delhi ganesh in lead roles. Music composed by Thaman.

Story:
A good tale gone sour, the film begins on the backdrop of Vadapatti village and here lives Gnana Guru (sriram) along with his bunch of friends (anjana and others). His mother (sriranjani) wants him to become big in life. Meanwhile, Guru and his friends are big fans of mass hero JR (jayaram) and always watch his film first day first show. The story takes a turn when JR comes to the village and his attention is caught by Gnana Guru. JR insists Guru to come to Chennai to try in cinema. Inspired, Guru comes to Chennai but is shocked to discover the true nature of JR. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with an appealing storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was not good. The dialogues were good in parts, the script was fluctuating and the screenplay was inconsistent. Background score was nice and three songs were upto the mark. Cinematography was appealing in capturing the locations. Editing was required during many situations. Costumes were natural while the art department was matching. Sriram Karthik came up with a decent act and did justice to his role, Anjana was alright, Sri Ranjani was matured, the real show stealer was Jayaram with his antics, Delhi Ganesh was decent, Vayapuri was regular, Mayilsamy was moderate.

Conclusion:
The film comes across as a comedy caper and the maker has attempted to defy logic and take cinematic liberties. In this process, the content got overboard and missed the mark by few feet. While the first half is lighter with the comedy and romance, the second half gets dramatic with the reality show concept and other sentimental dose. Overall, the film could have worked if there was reasoning in the narrative. At the box office, this could be a below average grosser.
